Cedar Fair Entertainment Company owns and operates 11 amusement parks around the United States and Canada while also maintaining a large collection of hotels and water parks. As a long-standing services partner for Cedar Fair, Concord has supported a wide range of initiatives centering on the brand’s digital infrastructure and the overall customer experience provided to patrons. Over the course of the partnership, Authentic has implemented a fully integrated digital marketing platform on Bloomreach Experience Manager (brXM), completed a phased multi-site rollout for all parks, and provided ongoing hosting and managed services.
Additionally, the architecture featured an integration with MA and CRM, enabling an omnichannel personalization strategy. Concord has also provided UX and UI services to support seasonal events (e.g. HalloWeekends) as well as strategic acquisitions made by the business. This process has helped the business incorporate newly acquired brands onto their infrastructure, while ensuring consistency across experiences. The microservices nature of the overall solution has allowed Cedar Fair to use the CMS as the central repository for all experience management, including those on individual park mobile apps, and kiosks located throughout the parks.
Concord has also developed custom applications for Cedar Fair, built on React. One such application was designed to support registration, payment and management of entertainment for seasonal festival events, with corresponding reporting. Additionally, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Concord built a custom application that allowed park patrons to claim season passes virtually.
Concord completed the initial CMS implementation in 7 months. Using a Factory Model, the additional 10 sites were launched in 4 months.
